Stay “Green” at Hilton Singer Island Hotel Oct 16

The Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Resort is one of the top hotels on Singer Island, Florida for a number of reasons – pristine location, unique amenities, incredible staff – but one of our proudest points is our commitment to eco-friendly operations. That’s right, the Hilton Singer Island is a green Florida hotel.

Green Hotel in Florida

Because Florida is a year-round travel destination, the lodging industry generates a considerable percentage of annual state revenue. The flipside, however, is that it’s also responsible for a devastating percentage of the state’s ecological footprint. In fact, according to non-profit Green Seal®, a single hotel can consume as much product in one week as a family might in an entire year. The volume is simply staggering.

In an effort to combat all forms of waste and ecological damage, the Hilton Singer Island Resort has joined Earthpact, a Crestline initiative designed to implement conservation practices in all facets of hotel operations. Efforts include comprehensive recycling programs, water conservation programs, energy conservation programs, and education programs for both employees and guests which encourage “green” practices.

The benefits are two-fold. Eco-friendly practices naturally improve the experience for future guests and ensure the lasting beauty of Singer Island. At the same time, several Singer Island hotels adopting green initiatives will increase the travel prestige of the destination, improving business across the board. It’s what they call a win-win, and we’re proud to be a part of it.
