Orlando Attractions – Aquatica Water Park Aug 27

As the summer is winding down, it doesn’t have to mean your fun has to be watered down.

But it could.

“Serene to extreme” are attractions featured at Aquatica Water Park, one of the three marine adventure parks found nowhere else.

The park is comprised of 60 acres of finely landscaped, South Sea Islands imitation – echoes of the rugged beauty and charm of Australia, New Guinea and New Zealand are apparent almost immediately. Lush flowers, winding blue waters, waterfalls and rocky outcrops provide an almost surreal paradise.

36 of the world’s most exciting water rides rest in this very park. So do six rivers and lagoons, as well as 80,000 square feet of beach front. If the rides themselves don’t thrill you, the personalities of the animals who call this park home will.

Some of our favorites are:

  • Dolphin Plunge
The park’s signature attraction – plunge into 250 feet of clear chutes through crystal clear lagoons where the Commerson’s Dolphins play.
  • Big Surf Shores & Cutback Cove
These side-by-side wave pools are the only pair in the world capable of operating together, or independently. Enjoy five foot swells or gentle surf.
  • Loggerhead Lane
Relax as you wind about underwater through the habitats of the Commerson’s Dolphins, exotic birds and an 10,000-gallon tank of exotic fish.
  • Tassie Twister
If you’re feeling adventurous, take a twirl on this 129-foot flume that turns into a spinning superbowl before you drop into Loggerhead Lane.

Even if, for whatever reason, you may give the thrill rides a wide berth, there are still plenty of things to keep you entertained. Serene rivers will carry you throughout the park, while the beach provides plenty of play room, shade and sandy stretches. Personal cabanas are also available along the shoreline. Bring an appetite, too, as there is a vast array of dining options in the park.

Hours vary, so be sure to check with the park before you venture out. Visit the site here or call 1-888-800-5447.
